Duct Tape Across Sticks

D arn it!!  yesterday my finger, I cut
U seless I then had become
C ouldn't stop bleeding, that finger of mine
T eased by the warmth of my tongue.

T ried as I could, no bandaid was found
A lways and never where placed.
P outing and tearful and frowning in pain
E verywhere, nowhere I faced.

C hallenged I was, to come up with a source
H astening I reached into drawer.
A ll I could find was that silver duck tape
L ongingly, lovingly I tore.
L est I discover another sure way
E ach strip I placed stayed on tight.
N ever again will I buy a bandaid
G uess what? This stayed on overnight!!!
E ver thought of the uses of tape

this challenge I hope you won't duck(t)
reponses are welcome if you've got ideas
before my own mind runs amuck......

Great idea - never thought of using ducktape for a cut. But in despiration you use whatever you have. Really enjoyed your humor and writing.

Ariana, I did have two bandaids but they wouldn't stay on. Finger tips are hard to keep bandages on but that duct( not duck..I made a mistake there) tape is great..and it also gives it some cushion from hurting when hitting the finger against anything..although it does make me look like I am having tea and crumpets ~S~
