Voice Of The Wood

~*Marge Tindal*~

Across the mountains of yesterday
comes a sound so sweetly conjured
from simple woodpeckered branch
the song from wood was birthed
in the hands of a young brave
searching to woo his maiden
came voices of the wood
to win the maiden's
waiting heart
~ listen ~

Lies the passion of a timeless rage
Encased in sculptures of heated page
Singing to a love that knows no age

Very sweet melody you play for us my friend.  Love the words and the images in conjures up.

very cool poem...very cool graphic...
but then its from VERY cool poet
love those muses of yours margie-girl

Where the touch of the lover ends
And the soul of the friend begins
There's a need to be separate and a need to be one
And a struggle neither wins

Lovely to read you again Marge(y)

I'm listening...this takes me back to all those medieval tales I love so much..

- it was not an
unmusical sound: long, falling, half a sigh,
like wind in the wires, or a train distancing.
