                                    Responsible

Responsible I’m not responsible
Sensible if only I was sensible
For what you’ve put me through
I shouldn’t even glance at you
And yet my memories still stay
They won’t leave me or go away
I know you’d never cherish me
And that means pain certainly

Crazy I’m more than a little crazy
And I’m going mad almost certainly
To consider dancing in your door
For me to suffer this pain once more
What can my heart be trying to do?
I know that you simply can’t be true
Like a moth I’m drawn to your flame
But I’ll not live in memory ever again

Insane I’m quite clearly going insane
Vain you can’t possibly be that vain
To think that I will dance with you
After all the pain I’ve been through
All those nights I’ve cried my tears
And I’ll not listen to my hearts fears
I’ll love again and it will be so true
Because I’m safer far away from you

Trusting I was far too trusting of you
Honest you weren’t even that it’s true
To contemplate waltzing into my heart
When it was you who blew it all apart
I’ve picked myself up and I’m going on
And I’m never going to fly into your sun
I’ll be true to myself and find my destiny
I’ll find myself trusting in hopes beauty

                                  Marsha

Take back the hope you gave,- I claim
Only a memory of the same

This can be a very hard thing to accept that we may not be compatable in certain important areas and perhaps we went beyond the point where we feel comfortable...it is hard to let go and go back to the beginning and accept a friendship or learn to share in areas of common interest without expecting a romance or we can decide to let go and move on...just my thoughts...James

seems to me the Phoenix answered the moths questions ...
when we fly around the flame ...we do indeed get burned...
well done poem of comparisons and anologies
take care

Heaven bound on wings of love,
there's so much that you can rise above.
I surrender heart and soul,
sacrificed to a higher goal.

AT thank you kindly, this is some old stuff working through my system, and I'd say this was probably the least pleasant element of them. But to write is to clear away the debris, so I'm clearing it out of the way.
Thank you truly

James thank you any input is welcome, in this case it's more to do with the fact I'm doing some emotional house clearence.

Janet Marie, the phoenix does answer all my questions, I've had one of those weeks you know, so this is clearing the decks for the future. Thank you always, this moth did get burnt, but some phoenix fire soon rejuvenated me
Take care love as always
