Shattered By Laura M. Wells I am shattered…. I know that you are to I am truly sorry for what I have done to you I will always remember the good times we shared and how much you cared I know you may not believe me but I loved you more than you will ever know I know that you loved me with all that you had That love will never flourish and grow I never meant lie and break your heart But now I know we must part I had hoped that we could try again At least be friends, but this broken heart will never mend I don't hate you and will think very highly of you Don't let everyone ever get you down No my dear you should not frown. I've loved you forever and many times before I can't believe we're closing this door. I want you to be happy and I know that you don't need me But I still need you, I will always think of you in all that I do. Good luck with all that you do…you deserve the best in life I hope that one day, I can stand next to you again But for now I will settle for you as my friend. |

'I can't believe we're closing this door'...broke my heart. I so very much understand where you are. I have learned this...lovers grow from friends sometimes but rarely friends from lovers. Best to you. And keep writing this was really good...and it helps. |

This is a wonderful portrayal of the aftereffects of an ended love affair. It is always sad to see love end, but what you put across to me as I read, was acceptance...something that you don't see too often anymore. Well written, my friend! Live...Love...Be grateful for both!! |

It's good that you're getting all of the feelings out Laura, that's important to do. . . Acceptance is hard. . . but it's something that we must do. . .
