Truth and Lies By WhiteKnight "'Till death do us part", I said that day. I meant the words, Though I did not know how much they would weigh. I still mean them, what more can I say? I trusted you to mean the same, I did not know you would cause so much pain. I could not know that the harder I would try, The more you would lie. I couldn’t know that the more you lied, The more I'd want to die. I felt the pain, In my heart, I felt it in my brain. It just tore me apart. I trusted you, I knew, You would never lie. I just knew, you'd never let me hurt, I trusted you not to let me die. Lies are the ties, That bind our hearts, That keep us apart. You keep shut your eyes, You hope I never realize, That the words you spoke, Were just words to you. Years have gone by, Long ago I realized, The lies you tried to hide from my eyes. I am not perfect I know, But why did you never show, That I upset you so? Why did you turn to him? Why did you let him in? You spoke the words, They were not birds, That fluttered away on their own. You let them go, you made it so. Now we are here, Together, But the lies have turned us cold, Made us grow old. I say I must go, I cannot stay here, the way things are, It must be so. Let me go. You say that you still care, But is that what you show? I still see the lies in your eyes, Like chains upon my soul. WhiteKnight |

I am so sorry your love (in the poem, anyway)has lied. Take heart in the fact that you did all you could to make it not true! You wrote a wonderful poem of your feelings . Hope all is well, now. Hugs, ME |

We all go through tuff times, Take life day by day and know that your friend will never go away... The words that are said do mean something even when they dont seem to at times. My thoughts and prays are with you.. |

Well it's your heart that makes you the real person here and really how can one know what's going to happen....sometimes ya win sometimes ya lose, and I know that doesn't help the one feeling the pain but it's a fact of life........some are luckier than others...some are stronger than others.... some accept the responsibility of love more than others.....some have a real heart while others fake it....some are cruel....but the good ones make up for all the bad ones and I think you deserve better....really none of my business though....take care....ethome Reality seldom bears the possibilities of imagination! |

i am not even sure what to say, i have been on both sides of the lies...neither side is good, and the marriage that is left is a shell...you penned your pain with style and grace...i wish your soul peace |
