Prayer [tribute to Janet Marie] give me just one line…one that presents a rhyme then give me in time…one that would be mine one that lives to give...one that gives to live one that is just like me…one that is me in thee why do I ask that ye may give…when I know to live is to live yet ye create the ask of me…that I may then ask of thee for is a prayer not a request…do ye not give then the best Sir, I ask of thee…grant thy prayer…so we see Janet Marie…should you see…this is in part of thee this is not a way I talk….but it speaks most handsomely of a gift of art, a way it be….that one can speak, tenderly it is arduous, know it so…that this would be, the way I go but there is reason,…. as there is season for Janet Marie, … a camaraderie I am sorry, my dear….this is not very clear you speak elegantly….in what would regale all of we and this is tribute….to what you can do just know that I fail….in all that you do but I so admire the art of you Janet Marie from a friend of yours still unsure but an always… I be lovingly yours, a friend of thee Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

I am humbled beyond words, to tears right now, this is such a beautiful poem and gesture. You truly are Sunshine on this morn and I thank you very very much for this touching, tribute and gift ... and let me not seem ungrateful when I say ... I must protest the line in the poem where you say "you fail" ... trust me poetess, mentor and friend to many... you live up to your name of Sun daily in here. thank you so very much for this .. and know it will be treasured ... as gifts of poetry are my most cherished poessesions. I've read tributes here - but none to surpass this - and I agree with JM - you do NOT fail! and I believe it is equally true - that you, Janet, myself and God knows how many others - could truly express such words to each other here, could sincerely write such words to us, or others who post here - so I will add my appreciation to Ron for providing this forum. |

What can I say? It's beautiful and you have captured some of her style in the stanzas and the words but the most important thing is that you've paid tribute to your own fine heart by paying tribute to hers. Janet is a wonderful inspiration to so many of us andI for one have always appreciated her excellent poetry and friendship since the very day I arrived here....this is so good Karilea! |
