there’s tomorrow at the brim of her yellow hat with its paper wings
neon-hearted and warm against windows with their eyes shut and i
do not have time today, no sir, for your irreverence, for your charm
and i do not have time for your letter and your wooden chair upright
with its hands beckoning to open, to push the metal through its wiry
veins until the ink bled through the paper onto the skin and all hurt
came anew rushing like a spill over a lace tablecloth and i tore it
where its holes had not yet begun and i came undone as the stitches
tore one by one, the thread unraveling as the yellow hat blew from her
head like a photograph out of sight from summer, your evening dream
with its candles and pandora’s box kept intact and the porcelain pale
and her string of pearls wrapped sideways around the envelope.

and still i cannot help but hear the symphonies through walls
with their crescendos and staccatos diving backwards into
their charm of evening, their fluid notes hung on sky like
angels on parade. and if you are my angel on parade i do
not know if i can keep you from descending, i do not know
the use of these ornamental tones and if your heart should
wish it were not so and your eyes were to sing goodbye,
i think i could hear it, music from another room, hips swaying
and bells cascading and the parlor filling its sides up with
the madness of a crowd.
and if i could be there.

Ohhh I like this, a myriad of images, feelings, sights, sounds  and thoughts, disjointed but somehow whole, wonderful piece.

AuroraRain~
I'm not sure if I understand the all of this -
but I know that I like it.

And this -

'and if you are my angel on parade i do
not know if i can keep you from descending'

just sings to me.
