Their lives were pinned with hopes and dreams.
Fifty years together they have seen.
On each other they could always depend.
So much strength in that golden band.

A love that blossomed years ago,
Today, still continues to grow.
A promise of forever
Two hearts were linked together.

Years have passed and you still can see
The letters left there on the tree.
Two names carved within a heart
Etched with love upon the bark.

Denise, Trew, Kathleen, Sunshine and Marge, thank you all so much for coming by, reading and commenting. I wrote this for my parents who have been together for 54 years.  And thanks Marge it is good to be back.  It has been awhile.

I missed this the first time, so thanks to Marge for bumping it.  My parents have been together for 56 years, and this description of enduring love made me think of them and smile.  Thanks for sharing it.

This is wonderful!!! And it's great to know they're still firmly etched on each other's hearts. *S*
