The violet luster of folding sky
Carries darkness to cover
The remaining breath of day--
A foaming, iridescent trail
Of light
Holding feeble sprays
From the sun’s glimmering gold.

...The moments slowly exhale....

Dusk quiets as fluid midnight
(almost like a chiffon gown)
Slips over the lonely sky,
The occasional star-twinkle
The only disturbance
Of the rich navy heavens.

Lady Luna- drenched in
Silvery white sheen-
Is the silent guardian
Of the verdant, sleeping Earth...
Watching with her pearled eyes
‘Till morning gently inhales
And the world awakens once more.

Exhale the woes of the day
indeed
replace with night's
stillness
as if a dream
