As It Could Be

To battle feelings of discontent
to see fallacy where reality is meant,
to wonder if there is indeed a place
to feel again a saving grace…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Come, sweet Soul, to walk the land
where still the grass is virgin and
no glass, no steel, no one but me
and God is all that your eye can see.
Come, sweet Soul, to my haven home
where Indian and bison once ago roamed
where lark and hawk share the sky,
come and walk, with God and I.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

To shed despair, and deep depression
to reach back to a good life's lesson;
to touch an earth that's not been razed,
to see again through smoggy haze…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Come, sweet Soul, to walk the land
where still the grass is virgin and
no glass, no steel, no one but me
and God is all that your eye can see.
Come, sweet Soul, to my haven home
where Indian and bison once ago roamed
where lark and hawk share the sky,
come and walk, with God and I.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Before I would leave, I would fall
upon God's land he gave to us all,
to preserve and care for was his desire,
not subject it to human's hateful empires.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Come, sweet Soul, to walk the land
where still the grass is virgin and
no glass, no steel, no one but me
and God is all that your eye can see.
Come, sweet Soul, to my haven home
where Indian and bison once ago roamed
where lark and hawk share the sky,
come and walk, with God and I.
For though we pray our good intend
a glimpse of salvation would our souls to mend.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ah 'Deer...one would wish that circumstances were so that people would know....to conserve in all areas....wherever it is you live....just know....Kansas is under a deluge of people of a sudden, looking for an oasis....and only the old folk know....what is here needs to be cared for, and carefully....thank you for reading....
