Ambient

I fear from you what not achieved
a whisper from a heart that grieved
yet, if I thought that feeling true
my heart alone, might, be with you
but then I remember who you are
we both wear a crimson scar
still shield my heart it is a must
hard letting go, and then to trust
afraid to grieve again, or grieve alone
a product of a past now shown
this holding back could be a sin
I'm so afraid to let you in
can this ruin be repaired
and is the secret to be shared
forgive me now because i cry
my life so painted with green sky
the guard is down, I may now be damned
for all I have to offer is who I am

Helen have to say this is one of the best you've written. Wonderful expression of emotion.

Ahh the dilemna
to dare to open
saying once more
knowing the risks

yet the call itself
will decide the fate
and tomorrow will be
no matter its colour
