my ossicles are oracles of movement.
edification of an era’s effluxion.
death is not destruction.

the ugliest thing becomes beautiful,
a crystalline curio,
under centuries of sleepless mud.

the most beautiful thing
remains the same
as a sculpture of stone and bone.

science does not measure the soul’s passing –
rather the imprints left behind.
you can’t measure the chemical reactions of spirit,

although that’s probably not far behind.

"the most beautiful thing

Profoundly said.  Enjoyed the read.

Mike~
I like the entire piece -
but this struck a chord with me -

'a crystalline curio,
under centuries of sleepless mud'

Oh, I like that !

I really love that line...I think that is what most of us want...to leave imprints. Good ones.

Thanks everyone! It's kinda scary ... I'm starting to grow up.
