I thought I was over that feeling of "lost"
And was even happy to meet each new day
I again saw the sun and turned lights off
Even the shadows in deepest corners kept at bay

But then as I went to bed last night
I began my prayers the same as before
Asking God to hear me and make all things right
When the feeling of "lost" came upon me once more

The tears sprang from my eyes in rivers
My breathing was in gasps from my crying
Thoughts of a kind and giving God that delivers
Peace on this night gone and I feel I am dying

I fall into a fretful sleep with troubled dreams
Running, running in shadowed empty rooms
I need to find the light from sunny beams
And chase away the feeling of impending doom

It is morning when I finally open my eyes
My face is still wet from night time tears
I need an answer to all these why's
God won't forsake me but will quiet my fears

Hear my prayers and help me to understand
Why the darkness is with me once again
I want to feel the sun on my face so I can
Begin to heal and my life be in command

My prayers will be answered
The sun will shine, shadows gone
Tears only with laughter, happiness shared
Hard times may come but I'll never be alone

We are never alone ME, as long as we believe.
Wonderful words of faith you share.

On the wings of words our spirits fly, and our souls are free.

Not only are we never alone but when we need "his" strength then he is always there to reassure us.  We all get this way at times and as long as we recognize it then we are not too far gone.  Wonderful piece from you.......AGAIN....now THAT runs in the family.

Uh-huh.

Good one, ME.

On my walk I was thinking...

Does He listen more when our prayers issue from the deepest of darkest places, or are they merely more fervent and we more determined to listen?

VAS, now that is a deep question!  I don't know the answer. But, I will keep asking Him to give me strength.  Hugs, ME

and comes from Him. . .

it's always there
with love and with care

M_E,

May all your prayers be answered.  This was so touching and full of emotion.
