             “ “LOVE ME ALSO TOMORROW””

                              by
                          Bill Charles
                           ~~~~
Love me also tomorrow, for today will surely end,
        I’ll be waiting there for you,
                until dawn’s light does bend…
If we meet there on the morrow, it will also be today,
        so take my hand in yours,
                our future is not far away…
I can’t promise you a rose garden, it’s just not very real,
        but the one thing we can do,
                is to make this simple deal…
I would ask that you share, your loving heart with mine,
        to cherish and care for,
                but not wanting to realign…
What I ask honestly in return, is only the very same,
        this I would promise you,
                as surely that you know my name…
So I ask you to come to me, as I’ll be helping the night,
        to hurry through its darkness,
              until I see you once again,
                     in the morning’s early light…
Pale moonlight or early morning light - It matters not, BCI... Your words are a wonderfully romantic beacon... Keep 'em coming, my friend..
Nice thoughts, Bill. If we can have love tomorrow, as well as today, then I guess that makes it real love..
Hm, did that make sense?
Anyway, love the poem.
jwesley - you really think that they would love me tomorrow?  Thank you for your kind words.
Marge - Loved writing this, and thanks for coming by.
Greeneyes - Thank you for your comment, and I hope that she does, but I would also share these words with all.
Nan - once again I thank you for your graciousness.  No, it does not matter if it's pale moonlight or early morning light, but I is a running!
catalinamoon - yes, love tomorrow, as well as today does make sense.  Thank for your reply.
I would ask that you share, your loving heart with mine,
        to cherish and care for,
                but not wanting to realign…
Mornin' Bill...
Oh, I do so love the line...
"to cherish and care for, but not wanting to realign"...that seems to be such a common occurance with people.  If you love somebody, don't try to change them.  Thank you for these thoughts, Bill!
