The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-02-04 02:09 PM

He reached for me and took my hand
imparting words which reminisced
of past lives loves now found again
and slowly bent down for a kiss.

He took me into such strong arms
we danced away into the night
I felt him shelter me from harm
I knew his love would make it right.

The moon grew larger as we stepped
the stars shone brighter with his touch
my heart remembered secrets kept
and knew the future held so much.

This was no regular first date
but rather a reunion made
Here in his arms would pain abate
together now, both unafraid.

This love we both felt pre-ordained
brought sun to all the days of rain.

Ah Cat, I do so like this shade of you
perhaps some more for us to view?
for when you pen a poem this way
you carefully bring the bright to day...

Now see how much beauty you can share when you find the right inspiration.  It doesn't matter if it is a memory, a current event, or a dream as long as you find inspiration in it.  What a beautiful piece of you to share with us.  Truely well penned and spoken with the heart of one the knows where the search is to end.

If you find yourself stranded in a storm
...then reach for my hand and we will play in the puddles together

Catalina,
This is a beautiful portrait of so many different emotions combined. You could never lose your inspiration...
