Sky Cries
Virginia Salter

sky cries my tears for me

filling rivers, swelling seas

for stoic, numb, is how I be

a deafened ear, too blind to see

VAS, I don't know who you wrote this for, but I think it was me. I have had a "feeling" all day and didn't know how to explain it. You did it better than I ever could.  Good writing.  ME

Oh Virginia, there was just so much pain and release within these few words.  Into the library this goes, I really do admire how you can say so much with few lines.  Excellent rhyming scheme with piercing images.  I feel like this a lot, and you have expressed it well.

Take care,
Melissa~

ME, not seeking sympathy, but maybe empathy...I'll e-mail you if I can.  Thanks for your wonderful comment.

You, too, j, Sunshine and Melissa, thank you for your profoundly kind comments.  I appreciate them very much.

I too can relate to this numbness sometimes.  Nicely penned.

Thank you, Poeminister, I'm sure we all can at one time or another.  In fact, I think I see a lot of it in our youth, especially in the 80's.  I have a theory that that is why 'slam dancing' came about.  Kids wanted to 'feel SOMETHING' even if it was pain.  Just wanted to know they were alive.

Numb yes........but never without feeling.  Wonderful write.   Beautiful write....that is two for two from you today that I have read and I feel the better for it already.
