Cells
Virginia Salter

buried
layers down
alive, yet stricken,
prehumously
benign words dawdle
somewhere beyond view
aching to be seen on the scene,
felt, enfolded,
longing to be malignant of nature
that they might spread
their message

Very good, Virginia! I could sense the longing in the words!
