Hey how are you doing?
Did your plain get delayed too?
Yea. This weather is a ***** isn’t it?

So you say your on a business trip.
I’m on a sort of business trip also,
I’ve got a few clients to meet.

Here is my card.

My old man said to me…
“Son sometimes you just gotta be real.”
Guess I have not quite reached that time.

For years, ten, maybe a life time,
I’ve not been real. Walking somewhere
between fantasy and a nightmare.

There is a saying. Maybe it is from
a movie, maybe the Bible,
maybe my old man said it too.

“You will know my name is the Lord
when I lay my vengeance upon thee,”
that’s the saying alright…yea. I like that.

There were a lot of people out there who for a
short few minutes before the lights went out
believed my name was the lord.

I assure you my name is not the lord.

Some people are naturally born givers.
Some people are naturally born lovers.
Some, naturally, shouldn’t been born.

So up until this point I’ve been
quite vague as to the point of this,
I assume you care less about my old man.

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one.
I guess now is as good a time to tell you as any time.
Damn, how do I put it into words, not like you understand?

Some of us are lawyers.
Others protectors, or doctors.
Still others law makers, and law keepers.

But me, I’m an over population
prevention control engineer.
An exterminator of sorts.

I don’t know how all this came about,
it just happened. I don’t do it because
I'm angry, or because I’m mad.

I do it because…ahh.
Who the hell knows why I do it?
It’s just what I am.

Well, look at the time.
My flights boarding.
It’s been a pleasure talking.

Maybe we should do business sometime.

You’ve got my card.
I’ve got yours.
Good luck in your presentation.

Maybe I’ll see around sometime.
Yea maybe soon.

Just an effigy to be disgraced,
to be defaced.
Your need for me has been replaced.

Ok. Lets see, maybe I'll send this trough one more time. It might have fallen through the cracks. We'll see.

it made a lot of statements and left with no answers ?

Well I think you are partly right. There were a lot of statements. The answer, if there is an answer, is in the question, "Can you figure out which statements were real and what was crap."
However, in my oppinion, the poem really asked no questions, it was more of a confession.

I write poetry for the sake of peotry, for the sake of art. Not for you, not for them, and not for me. I don't write. It writes itself.

~E,...I've read this now a number of times and have to tell you that I got lost in it (in a good way). You removed me from my prior thoughts completely and held my attention throughout. Enjoyed this interesting sort of flow of thoughts or whatever. Take care you. And keep writing. *Peace.

"Some people are naturally born givers.
Some people are naturally born lovers.
Some, naturally, shouldn’t been born."
...and yet there are some who fall into the cracks inbetween all of these.
This is an interesting poem with a few added twists. Makes me curious as to whom the exterminator was waiting for late at night in the airport and why he feels God made it his job to decrease the human population. All in all I found this glimpse into the mind of a killer to be a bit chilling.

Spitfire - I'm glad that I could get you lost for a while.

Owl- Yes your right it is a bit chilling, I guess.
