Spend Me

Come away with me --
marry your sight to my own,
and let's be blind to the world.
Let's take retribution upon the
scorn of hapless emotion,
scaling high atop the fog
where daybreak and sunset
flag our communion in crest
of newly discovered colors --
the harmony of you and me.

Let's tremble in the touch
of lily tone skin --
moistly trailed in pearl like
beads ascending through open pores.
The creation of its burning --
tireless devotion
found in the selfless rendering
of tongue to fire.

Spend me like wealth
infinite in its accumulation --
the waves of my touch yours on demand.
Wrap your heart in the cloak of our resolve,
the warring parties made pitiful in their chiding.
We are one song --
authored in the twine of our spirits command,
the sounding of our voices spiraling in the circle
of our life.
