He Remembered.

The little child tugged at his shreaded shirt
The man's roughened face emotionless
The child's mother  felt angry at her tot
The man had been on the bench since sunset
The child tugged at him once again
The man turned slightly obviously in pain
Of years without a home for comfort
The child's mother became concerned
For the stare in the man's face was strained
The child touched the man's heart
With a most joyous, and beautiful smile
The old man remembered that he too could smile
And in the man's face the mother could see
Memories flooding back as  tears flowed freely.

Daniel oh Daniel this touched my heart...we should all look through the unbiased eyes of a child...straight past the worn clothes to the heart glimmering inside...you spoke these words so beautifully

We all have wings...some of us don't know why

A moment in time that says so much.
You created a very moving picture, Daniel.
A point of view that I never really had before.

Noah,
Thank you. Often I wonder why so many people hurt so much, it is such a shame that they have to live such miserable lives. The time has come for action to deal with this issue and not put it in the too hard basket. People need love and a home, not hatred and homelessness. Your words were wonderful.

Sunshine,
How true, their innocence and gentleness really shine.

SEA,
A most wonderful reply, those very hardened people out there have deep within hearts that need love. Thank you my dearest one.
