WOMAN

she was waiting for a bus
on a rainy Tuesday morning
and a child

there was no bus, only this cold rain
and her tears hidden in the quiet darkness of the night
and a child
also waiting for this bus

she does what has to be done and nobody cares
and she doesn’t go dancing anymore
but she likes drinking a cup of coffee
in a very small kitchen sometimes with a friend
but most of the time alone

a woman without fashion
a woman carrying our burdens
a woman who doesn’t really believe in love anymore
a woman who has not much time for god and who cares anyway?

does she need god?
god needs her for doing his will on this earth

she does what has to be done
and after all the dancing and drinking and fighting
she cleans up
and takes care of those who suffer

she waits for her bus
and a child
on a dark and rainy Tuesday morning

but on one very bright day with flowers in the air
her bus will arrive and only she will be there
and a child
with a magical smile on it’s face

Very interesting, very poignant.

You have penned the heartache and the loneliness so well...that ache of waiting wanting and not even knowing what for

We all have wings...some of us don't know why

Agust,
great poem, I particularly liked the waiting lines although in real life I hate waiting for anything, even for the kettle to boil.
Write on
