What if I said in a whisper?
Your lips I could taste
Soft scent of your perfume
The dreams it creates

What if I wanted to touch you?
But my hands cannot feel
Could my mind still imagine?
As if it were real

What if I pulled you against me?
With your breast pressed up tight
Could I remove all your anger?
Make you smile through the night

What if I woke up beside you?
Pulled your head to my heart
Would the day go un-noticed?
As we grasp for a start

"What if" is only a dream we can’t see
To change we must do it
Then we’ll see what can be
So what if I propose
We say maybe no longer
Reach out and take control
To make our hearts stronger.
