*A Brother Sun, Sister Moon poem* You are the gift of creation You light up the sky You represent life You are the gift of creation You light up the stars You are the rest between tomorrows I cover with shadows I shimmer not shine I represent sorrow I blind the way Oppress with my rays I too, bring so much sorrow You are the flame to the candle You are warmth and strength You are power unmuted You are the eye of life You are coolness and repose You are comfort in despair Without you there is no life Without you there is no love Without you there is no joy Without you there is no light Without you there is no harmony Without you there is no music You are eternal You are eternal You are all powerful You are all powerful You are the promise of new life You are the promise of eternal rest You encompass the world with gladness You encompass the world with peace --------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person.
