Mother Mine

Sing me a line of nursery rhyme
To satisfies my tranquil time.
To sphere me in a lace embrace
To lull me with a mothers grace.

Once more to cling to mothers breast
All snug and warm upon her chest.
Protected by her heart and mind
Without the silver cord of bind.

Illusions brought to comforts throne
Forever she would have it known
That I be safe and given alms
In the warmth of her tender arms.

Mother mother, oh mother mine
Please lullaby a nursery line.
You are the enclave of my brave
You stay my mind in loves engrave.

I cried your name when I was born
I'll murmur it when I am gone.

"Without the silver cord of bind."

"You are the enclave of my brave"

this jewel from your heart makes me want to write her a poem and thank her for YOU!!
This is cooler than you know Stinky ...
what a special tribute...
those last two lines ... poetic perfection
As a mother...I can only hope one day me own
would be inspired so sweetly
love this one Sy ... and the poet... and his reasons for writing it.
way cool ....

The pain be mine ...
but thine shall be the praise.

I'm glad you can still feel the comfort and love from a mother's arms. A very touching poem.  Hugs, ME
