My Dear Connor,

How we miss you my heart,
How we long to be held again,
How lonely my nights are,
We cannot wait to see you again.

Aiden is such a bonny boy,
He grows more like you each day,
Both in temperament and looks,
He is wonderful in every way.

My father is doing as well as can be expected,
Yet I fear his time is nigh,
I need to be here to nurse my Da,
Yet when alone, I think of you and sigh.

Connor, my love, my husband,
Know you are never far from my thoughts,
And in only a breath or two,
I'll be back in your arms as I ought.

Look up at the moon,
So beautiful when full and blue,
She is the ever shining beacon to remind us,
I am always there with you.

Though we cannot touch,
Nay, not a single caress,
I long for the moment when again,
Your love eases my fear and unrest.

With you life is a song,
Like the ditty's I sing to you,
And I swear it won't be long my heart,
Until we return to you.
