Listening to every heart

Peek!

you didn't peek behind your back
and come out and around the other side did you?

and so the conversation started
there within the head
in jest but truly full hearted
not for the weak or meek
yes that is how the conversation started

knowing that there’ll never end
all the questions of where,
when,
how,
what,
why
let alone
could I
should I
would I
could/should/would you?

and she/she questions each and every line she/she writes
and the ones she/she wrote
full of song
sadness,
full of never ending notes

one gets truly simonized
the other passes on lines to utilize

and not so very different in their hearts
possibly paths walked of sameness
each thinking the other far more complicated
than they probably really are

both reaching for stars…

one could sit all day and read one if one were rich
yes, one would

but one’s not rich [neither is the other]
so they read when they can, as they should

one turns lines and phrases
the other simply stands, amay-zed…
awestruck
wondering is it talent?
or is it luck?

one can’t conceive of
multiple personalities, Sybil she’s not
but she waits for the other, who might
come forth as
Sybilisrot
just to get a giggle
to throw one off line
just to see if she’s good under
any other name but mine

so if this she is a she in you
even if she is a he in there too

this little ditty can be read by few….
but more particularly
we’ll include you

Kari love, I love this sooooooo much I should leave a large space, being that less is more, but I can't do that, because you wouldn't know I loved it unless I told you. Well, you would others wouldn't, couldn't, but yes YOU'D know.
So since I do love it I leave this for you

ok this is incredible...not sure how to describe it...you know when you hear a really really funny comedian and they are funny because they take the 'really real' things that happen to us in life and bring them to light....well this is like that... it is really really good because you take the realness of the poets in the forums and bring out our excentricies, our honesty, our need to be 'not me' sometimes and your bring out our smiles....well...you said it better than I did, but let me just add that I love this

oh and thank you much for your welcome and your comments

This poem, I would compare to a precious pearl that one would find in the middle of a dew-filled scarlet rose.

Just sweet.

I do believe that you've taken this to a new level my friend. . .

To all of those poets who made this quite possible...for no WAY could I have done it by myself...

Thank you!
