It is morning,
But the sun hasn’t come up yet--
I’ve still got time to decide
What this day will hold.
I can resign myself
To mending this broken heart
With which you’ve left me,
Comforting this disappointed spirit
Which has been me lately.
Or, I can decide to keep walking--
Leave you behind completely
Before you have taken yet another day.
Over the horizon
Peek the most breathtaking hues,
Indicating the break of day--
I haven’t much more time.
I’ve been fighting you off
For much too long--
It is finally time to stop allowing you
Each and every hour of my day.
These clouds should belong to me;
These stars should be shared
With someone who holds them
As dearly as I.
Relief seems so far away,
But the time is approaching
For the sun to find its way
Above that water line.

Never leave me, never go...
I need you here, I need to know...
You will always be
Close to me

SP..I like your attitude in this...time for a new day to dawn ...
well written and expressed...
great use of imagery comparisons to show the emotions...
great write!!

I can smell the sunrise coming in this one to brighten your day.  What a powerful write my friend.  Don't let someone slow you down if they are not really into it.  Only slow down to enjoy the moments with those that truely appreciate the time with you.  Loved it.
