The Flirting Game

Put your lips together and blow she said
And somehow the words stayed in my head
I’d often say them, as I’d start to be a flirt
And ignored disapproval from stuffed shirts
But somehow with you I couldn’t play games
With a look from you I forget my own name
Becoming almost tongue-tied and a little shy
But knowing here within that I can really fly

Fasten your seatbelt prepare for a bumpy night
And I’d laugh and add something wittily light
But while you looked at me with those eyes
The lines disappeared to be replaced with sighs
One flash of your smile and I was a dead duck
And thinking that speechless I was out of luck
Not like me to be so nervous and unsure of me
This place of uncertainty is not a fun place to be

Is that a gun in your pocket or you’re glad it’s me
Then I’d wink and say shall I just look and see
But with you this is different I’ve lost all my wit
I can’t remember to talk at all not even a bit
All my sparkling repartee has flown far away
And the little quips I’ve forgotten what I’d say
This is a different me one who’s quiet and still
While I stare my eyes sip at you taking their fill

Marsha

Ain't it the truth, mushy? Somehow all the cute sayings, witticisms and flirt lines just disappear when THE ONE appears...that lucky guy

Marsha~

So prim and proper you have become,
batting lashes with aplomb !
Attraction is attraction,
no matter how you play the game
You little flirt-skirt ...
you have not changed  !

Loving your teasing-pleasing and flirting.

Marsha - this is also very good. And my comment is "what I said before, for the other writing."

'Deer love, yes love that is how you know, I don't know about the one yet but I'm certainly not flirting. This is definitely different, thank you muchly love, and if I need a champion, I'll know who to call.
Take care love as always

Sven dear heart, thank you and yes I would say you are just a little biased love, wouldn't you? But as always you say exactly the right things, and thanks for the wonderful.

Margie girl, normally that's me the flirt skirt, but this is different, when it doesn't matter I can flirt, when it does, the flirting stops. Thank you love as always.
I'm sorry you weren't on the other reply, but I was chatting you know   but actually to a real live person love, my daughter no 2 was complaining about daughter no 1. (They are both old enough to complain to each other, but I always end up having to stand between them)
Thank you love always
Take care love

Bill love, thank you muchly, I'm sorry this took so long but I'm still trying to keep them from killing each other. Thank you truly
Take care love
