Sonnet I

to catch, without entangling, a string
to cache a line, a beam of light to bring
to you, here, and in the now of moment
for thoughts of you have been lent
a calm becalmed, warmth of soul, a sigh
lies within these thoughts of you and I
serene, seen upon the scene of to come
believing to know that you are "the one"
to see in shadows of yester's night
to what will be seen in morning's light
a belief of reverie, in this the you of me
to hear my name on your lips, you seeā€¦
to hold as a token, a cachet of belief
one day to breath in sweet, sweet relief

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Beautiful writing, my friend. The Sonnet is obviously a good style for you. Can't wait to see Sonnet 3,857,328,478,347,837 and all the ones inbetween!

Kari dear heart, I saved reading this until after the challenge for obvious reasons love. Because I didn't want to be discouraged too much. Knowing that you did such a splendid job love, and it is too. In fact it is utterly utterly superb, which is why you are the mentor and I'm the (what would that me the mentaled) no it know it's the junior student.
This is as always stunning and you knew I'd love it.
Take care love

Again my friends, thank you all...but apparently I've still a lot to learn about sonnets...and I promise, the next time I attempt to post one...ALL of the rules will be followed...

so for now...this is just a poem...
