standing on a shadow's lace

Solid ground

hidden deep within the snow
is the place where flowers grow
hope spread on stone cold ground
is the place where seeds are found
some will die before their day
nature will carry them away
yet are saved a lucky few
bringing pleasure to renew
as the ice begins to melt
new life now can be felt
magical powers changing it's form
transformed by the touch of warm
enchanting gardens you prepare
no other beauty can compare

slick,
The promise of the coming season . . . especially spring.  Lived in the subtropics for a time . . . such wimpy seasons!
But tell me, "yet are saved a lucky few, balancing pleasure as they grew"?
