In the space between moments

0 posted 2001-01-27 11:17 PM

A faint melody breathes
From behind a stormy silhouette,
Pushing iridescent light
Forward
Through the forsaken cloud of grief
Clinging inside me.

A voice flies with that song,
Sweeping through my dreams
With tender grace and power,
Bringing rose tinted whispers
Along with the stunning reality
Of a growing love.

I see your eyes through the dark,
Sparkling, reflecting your soul
In soft, quiet splendor...
And when you kiss me
The moments swirl wildly
With my dazed rapture.

Every time you touch me
I know you believe in me
And in us...
So when your shadow’s drape
In shreds of sorrow
Know that I will stand behind you
Breathing the lilting melody
That you once sang for me.

~*For you Abrahm, for you are all this to me and so much more.  Thank you for your love and for being here for me*~

You are so incredibly sweet! Great poem, my dear. I love you so very much   I'm pulling myself up and then we can sing that faint melody together.

Krista~

You write of devoted love, and of it's saving grace during dark times so beautifully!  But, then again, I've come to expect no less from your talented pen.  Abrahm will love this! Amazing imagery and sentiment      The ending touched me, what a pledge!  If only I could find love like this~

Take care,
Melissa

While catching up on some of the back pages, I stumbled across this treasure, and decided that it just had to be brought up to the front again.  It is beautiful, and it touched me deeply.

best,
