We walk slowly along the pier hand in hand
the wind bathes within the foam of the waves
rolling like a shaggy dog in a gust of sand

I watch your beard as the wind closely shaves
my finger traces the scar upon your lip
restraining, forcing myself to behave

When you smile I like to see the little chip
the chip upon the edge of your front tooth
it leaves an imprint upon our pleasure trips

Your skin sweet and dark as Italian vermouth
cool to the touch in the pale moonlight
as we skinny dip in our fountain of youth

Ocean whispers sweetly as Turkish delight
the moon is aglow,  a pink rose tonight

A poem is never finished, only abandoned.
