this poem is dedicated to suthern who loaned me the words and now I gift them back to her, with love.

A tiara of love that gives me surcease
From pain that I feel when alone
A crowning gem in a jeweled masterpiece
More than rubies or diamonds has shone

A crown of delight surrounds now my face
And allows me a moment to feel
A glittering light shows love's end of race
That me becomes us, makes me real

A halo of gold a nimbus of pride
That shows pure delight and what's more
The dazzling bedeckment with fire astride
Shows best when love holds the floor

A tiara of love a crown of pure gold
Is what I wear, when with you!
With wondrous imagining and stories untold
The glory of love that's so true

In passion, in pride, I stand by your side
And proudly I say, "yes I do!"
Accepting your gift with arms open wide
The jewel of love that is you

Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life. Patty Hansen.

This was a very beautiful write and I am sure that suthern will be honored that you dedicated it to her.  Who wouldn't be with a piece as wonderful as this.  The depth of your heart and pen show well in your writing.

Oh, Kethry... what an honor you've given me... and what a beautiful poem you've given to us all!!! I am simultaneously humbled and gratified that you took a phrase I used and created this wonderful poem... With a gift this lovely, feel free to use my words anytime!!! LOL

suthern is indeed delighted... can you tell? *S* But to your credit, the poem would have earned my delight even without the dedication... Bless you, dear talented lady... and thank you! *S*

And another big thank you to Marge, for pointing me this way... with only 20 minutes of library time (and no inclination to argue with my dinosaur computer *G*) I might not have seen this until Monday if you hadn't been kind enough to let me know.
