There are three of them
one is a protector, Tall, lean and muscular
his name is Stephen and he's strong
don't mess with him,
he is my bodyguard
he protects me when no one else could.
He is always there, lifting, defending,
to my aid,
whenever I need him.

There is Brianna
she is passion and pure sexuality
like the wind
fire and ice
fueled but not free,
sometimes
in her fantasies
she releases the drive
inside, unashamed.

There is me
quiet, scared, afraid I'm not good enough
not pretty and not smart
and guilty as sin and stupid,
unsophisticated and vulnerable
and no one really means anything they say
but I care about people
kindness and small children.

Someday, they will be one
strong, passionate, and caring
and free.

Yes, someday they will be whole
and so will all of you.

well this poem was nice and descriptive, but it didn't go anywhere.  we met three people who obviously interact in the way they do things and yet we have no interaction.  like a photograph of three people standing together.  nothing to make the read feel intimate with them.  what are they doing?  how are they separated? why should the reader care about them?  answer those questions and this will be a better poem.

I did understand, been there and felt that. I'm still not a whole, but at least I've come to terms with myself.
