I keep my eye on a western star,
for there is where I long to be.
My mind drifts across a land
where the deer roam wild and free.

In a twilight sky I'll see hues of light,
orange, yellow, and red.
I'll travel alone down a winding road,
the earth will become my bed.

The only light I shall ever need,
will come from the sun, the stars, and moon.
I'll hear sweet rhapsodies,
as the wind plays it's melodical tune.

A love for the land
will not be disguised,
for it can not be hidden
within this loners eyes.

I'll take a walk
through the gentle rain,
and know somehow it
will help heal the scars
that have caused so much pain.

Wherever my travels lead me,
no matter how near or far-
I will always be wishing
upon a western star!

Gentle Spirit
lovely write, whether we wish on a Western Star or a Star of the East, let's hope all our dreams come true.

Can't think of a more wonderful place to be than in the open heading west in the hour of the star.  Beautiful write with some lovely and serene imagery.
