I can no longer live pretense
the writing glares at me from wall
silent in its reckoning
a scream of heart--eight foot tall.
I see the truth in this cold stone,
and crave the hand that held the brush...
tracing words I do not own
as close I'll ever be to touch...

I stand here in my reverie
slumbering, recalling dream...
(as if I do not dream enough)
and wroth am I to wake abrupt
but even blinded by my tears
the silent words assaults my ears--
words I know I'll not forget
words of eternal love's regret.

He once stood where I now stand
and painted brick to ease his pain
crushed by stone of understand
I replied him just as plain
by blood of heart in my own hand--
"Never will I love again."

Spraying across another endless night of fantasy slumber as we once again meet in the wee hours of the day.

Superb penning as always.  I have seen the writing on the wall many times but I don't think any of them did it so artistically.

I do thank you all. Sometimes the writing on the wall is much more clear than the feelings in your heart. So thanks for the understanding, and HUGS TO FORUM.
