rose of purest white
shine forth in the dark of night
guiding the soul home

rose of palest pink
comfort the soul on its way
to its final rest

rose of gold yellow
give the warmth of only Sun
rising in the sky

rose of darkest red
carry the heart of the soul
on our tears of love

Awww - yes!  A wonderful dedication to the many colours of roses and the emotions that go with it.  I see that Mr. Romance is back again

Take care,

Sven,

Your grandfather led a long full life.  We should all be so fortunate.  The roses were indeed beautiful surrounding him today.  I know that his soul is home safe and finally at rest.  May he rest in peace.  All tears shed on this day were full of love.  I know they were a comfort to him.  As you know, I even shed a few myself.  He will be missed by many.  This was a wonderful portrait of the roses and their beauty.  I like the images here.  Excellent writing.

This is another one that has to go in the library. Roses will always be a favorite flower of mine, so that makes any poem about them also a favorite. Beautiful work.

P.S. My sympathy is with you on the loss of your grandfather. Take care.

Sven, I am the dark red rose, I guess, as I have many tears of love as well.
I am sorry to see that it appears you have lost your Grandfather. I know how very sad I was when mine left, and 10 years later, it still hurts.
These were beautiful wordds, and I'm sorry that they came from a sad heart.
