Moment

We all are in one
eternal moment being
and have always been
Soul of the temporary
present shapes, and memory...

Another kind poet has just told me what a tanka is.
So now that I know I can see how hard they can be to write.
Excellent job.

Mr. Magoo--
Thank you.  They just take some practice
and then they're a pleasure to write.
   Glad you enjoyed.
SEA--
   Thank you.
Paula--
Thanks, glad you liked this one.
Tanka is just a 5 line poem that most
   commonly has 5-7-5-7-7 syllable count.
Though that may vary--i've seen 4-6-4-6-6
and ones with still less, but you can't
have more than 31 syllables. They're
basically just like an extended Haiku,
but they can be about anything.

take care,
Poeminister
