Help! I'm stuck in poets' speak
On conversations havoc wreak
Counting words to match the time
Finding each line ends in rhyme
Didn't mean it to be so
Poet speak won't let me go

Too much time have I spent here
Reading verse to lessen drear
But conversations now are bent
Spoken with poets intent
Did not mean this way to be
Poet speak won't set me free

I'm so stuck in poets speak
I wish it made others feel meek
Instead they grin and laugh out loud
Poet speak does me, not proud
My poets speak must be no more
Lest they throw me out employment's door

Kethry~
I just love your poet speak.
Been know to turn a speak or two at work myself !

Why the other evening we had an impromptu poetry reading
in the lobby of my workplace.
It was such fun !
It was requested by customers -
and so well-received !

Keep it up, Ms. Poet !

I think if I held an impromptu poetry reading at work, I would lose all credibility with my "customers" and my audience would be men in white coats. lol.
Thanks
Keth

Oh the words we tweak
when we would poet speak
and our fellows then shriek
enough! enough of poet speak!

Kethry you can speak to me
In words that rhyme so merrily
I will hold you lil hand hun
When those men come we both will run
Throwing rhyming words at their feet
Til they too speak in poets speak
And in the confusion we will flee
To speak your speak so joyfully

We all have wings...some of us don't know why

Poets speak ring loud and strong
thank you, that you came along
thanks for all replies so witty
they added to this little ditty
for those who answered but had no rhyme
poet speak, will get you next time
although I'm stuck in poet speak
your answers left me laughingly weak.

write on in song
Kethry

oh Kethry you are a true poet
your poet speak really show it
and as an artist of spoken words
knowing what your poetry is worth
when you present journey of life
showing us your painful strife
or tender moments in passions light
reading your poetry is always delighted
so who cares about the poets speak
its a part of you a wonderful treat.
so keep on talking, keeps the write
cause you are one of passions pride.

here too, Keth'

it's more poetry speak
from that ol' geek
with grimaces and groans
and antipoetical moans
they'd surely say
he's nuts today!

My answer here, give loud and free
lest poets speak wins victory
to count the cost you all must try
to leave this place and view the sky
everyday for at least one hour
then poetspeak will lose it's power
life's loss is great, if you laugh or cry
when poetspeak can get you high!

The words you penned with Poet's Speak,
Opened up our brains so words would Leak.

The replies of poetry that are written above,
Fit with your poem like a glove.

So when one writes and they get stuck,
Come here, find words, now good luck....

Bernie

Nice write Kethry to spark the brains and words of others.

bslicker,
you think this poetspeak a jest
would that it could just let me rest
inspiration in my write
was not my plan this very night
but words come out as oft they will
adding to this poetswill
if you have learned one thing from me
it's that poetspeak overtakes with glee.

here we go round again
with poetspeak within my ken
I believed that it had gone
into the past where it belongs
but here it is to haunt anew
all I can say is just thank you

Write on

Coco,
did you know that you
brought poetspeak back anew
like a plague it comes again
infecting me and all my friends
building strength this very hour
now poetspeak regains its power
do not read! No do not look!
please close this thread, go read a book.
poetspeak will gain in strength
when people go to such great length
to keep this poem at the top
this poetspeak, has to stop
or else we all will be on tranqs
with poetspeak in offering thanks.
be well
Kethry

Now why close it now when you are doing so well with it.  BTW.......those one hour walks outside don't work.  I tried it.  I just use a translator for all replies.

Mark, Me too, yes me too
poetspeak now has a hold on you
oh! no my friend don't you succumb
t'would be better if you were dumb
you could not speak all words in rhyme
or offer praise that's near sublime
but  then you could be very free
not poetspeak entrapped like me
no one would laugh at all your pranks
no poetspeak to offer thanks.
Kethry.
