Moments Between Virginia Salter silhouettes appear as dawn climbs into day slowly, ever slowly shadows deepen a strange almost eerie glow begins low on near horizon arboreal lace trims a steel-gray sky above ebony eaves, gables silence deep silence epitomizes passageway twixt night’s ending, day’s dawning here am I caught between hours to stay hours to go wondering © September 21, 2000 |
