To Dad:

I recieved the news today from you
The sheer joy that swept across me was apparent I am sure
When you announced so proudly
I'm going to marry her

It's been such a hard road
The last five or six years
We've shared so much as daughter and father
Through the smile and the tears

You have been my everything
My rock strong and true
No matter how hard things got
I've always been able to count on you

The passing of Mom
About destroyed this family for good
But together you and I kept fighting
So I knew it never would

You've done more as a father
That most parents combined
When I forgot the important lessons of life
You were quickly there to remind

With your warm and loving ways
You have taught me all I know
With your stern but fair guidance
Throughout the years I've grown

Finally I can let you go
Because I know you'll be okay
And from far away I'll be smiling
On your beautiful wedding day

To Susan:
You came into our life
When we needed someone the most
Sticking around when times got hard
Not dissapearing like a ghost

True friend you have become
You mean more to us than we could ever say
I'm grateful you came into our life
And that you're here to stay

You hold my dearest possesion
The heart of the greatest man in my life
And it is with an honor
That I am proud to call you his wife

Susan, you have become more than that
You are not only my "mom" but one of my best friends
Lots of love, hugs and kisses
On your wedding day I do send

To You Both:

May your day be bright and cheerful
You have passed loves ultimate test
And when it comes to parents
I simply was blessed with the best

I'll be thinking of you on that day
With a smile and tear in my eye
You will not see me
But from North Carolina to Florida I will be waving hi

Congratulations! I love you both very much!!

All my love,
~Amy~

That's great, Amy! I wish them the best! Beautiful poem for them. They'll love it! Just one question...in the poem for Susan, last stanza in the second line...did you mean she is or is not your mom and your best friend?

Amy love, this is an absolutely wonderful and beautiful testiment to your family love. Utterly truly magnificent. And I am so proud of the way you have dealt with all that has happened to you love, and still come through with a heart that's pure gold.

Outstanding work, and you know I love it, don't you.
Take care love

Aims, this is beautiful!  Your dad and 'mom' are lucky to have you as a daughter!  Almost as lucky as I am to have you as a friend!  Love ya!!

Congradulations to your parents. I don't think you could've picked a better gift to give. It's beautiful and full of love, and you don't have to look for the hallmark!
