Have you ever missed the words
when the one you love is talking
been so entranced by the sound
or the beauty of the face in motion

Have you ever lost your thought
at the wisdom that you're hearing
thought only of your luck
at being loved by one endearing

If you're hearing words of love
as your loved one speaks so softly
can you concentrate on content
or just how you feel warmly

If you're faced with bared flesh glowing
or eyes sparkling with love's dewdrops
If the touch you feel is burning
Do you pull out all the stops

Or do you react as I do
saving rational till last
give yourself into the moment
know the afterglow holds fast

Know in those after moments
you can speak with cogent tongue
or is your control so fix-ed
you can let words always run

My loved one's loved with desperation
she is everything to me
she's part of every cogitation
she fills my heart with glee

Every move and every gesture
Every word from out her throat
Every flash of eye, each texture
Every way she does emote

For love's more than passing fancy
more than dancing under stars
more than standing in the shore's swells
more than flying off to Mars

She stretches to Omega -
she's my zenith my infinity
before time was she is my life
That's how I hear her - see?

Great souls have wills; feeble ones have only wishes.

Wilfred~
I think they call it mesmerized ...!
And that's what your thoughts did for me !

Nicely portrayed emotion.

Wilfred,
amazing! you mixed tenses and made the love sound so desirable. Although if someone told me I was their zenith when I spoke I would never shut up!
write on
