   Entangled Butterfly
Double Tanka

Cries of delirium
echo from empress of sky
devoured by pain
kaleidoscope colours drain
bleeding upon devil's lair
~
Fangs rupture dreams
butterfly raped with venom
wings rip from the seams
dark death shall liberate
entangled in spider web

MH* I loved this....I know it's not meant to
be beautiful but you know what....I do find
the beauty in it...an irony...kind of the
"greener grass" thought I guess....great
weaving Melissa...you have a pen that weaves
gold with style and grace~

I have no idea what a tanka is????
I do wish it had been a moth instead of a butterfly..Just Kiddin
Very nice "tanka"?
I`ll have to look that up.

Thank you for your replies and encouragement!     Yes, Karilea, I am okay   Although I did need to write this tanka to pour my emotions out, and now I feel fine.

Also, everyone was writing about the perfect life of a butterfly and how beautiful they are, but, I wanted to be different, to show that even with beauty, tragic things can still occur, that we can lose our "butterfly" in an instant.  Also, I think if you write about the most marvelous beauty dying in such an unfair fashion, it hits the reader more deeper.

Take care,
Melissa
