"Last Hope" Standing here alone as the shadows gather around I silently sit here crying Silent of the night My tears the only sound Bright moon high in sky glaring back at me As the tears fall harder and faster Making it very hard For me to see There seems to be no way out, no matter what we do You look to me for answers I have not a clue What to say to you Time is of the essence It's something we seem to no longer possess And I'm losing faith and hope I sadly must confess She is like poison Slowy threatening to tear us apart It wasn't enough to destroy me Now she wants to rip out your heart Why did I continue to let this go on For I should have known from the start But I simply ignored it Followed my careless heart The love I feel inside for you Is a dimming light Feeling as though all my energy has been drained No longer knowing how to fight You are staring at me Your sheer beauty takes my breath away Heart beckoning me to try again Pleading for me to stay I slowly turn and look away Tears once again feeling my eyes A million thoughts flying through my head So many unanswered questions of why Chill of night creeps into my bones As ebony night keeps trying to shut out the love Turning my head to the heavens I say a prayer up above Show me the way dear Lord I turn my life over to you Allow me to be a better person For now I haven't got a clue Looking back at you I find you staring right into my soul But all that remains here is broken pieces As I try to find a way to make myself whole The decision is in your corner I think I should let you go The thought of that sends shots through my heart As the tears once again start to flow Down on bended knee I silenty pray May tomorrow when I wake have the strength to do whats right May my soul and heart finally have the courage to stand up and fight Some people think I am not worthy To live or even breathe But dear Lord I know you do not think that And would never forsake me May the light of your love Penetrate deep within me Allowing my vision to become clear As I open my eyes, and can finally see Amy M. Hi Aimster, powerfully emotional read, infact I remember a time when there was a someone whom I thought was truly posion and ready to kill all that I thought was my reality, now that I can look back on it for me it was lights flashing 'neon sign' saying a change is coming, but at the time she was evil and I was clueless, I wish you only the very best and if you ever want to talk you know how to get in touch, awesome work.
