As In a Dream
Virginia Salter

as if silken wax
soft hued
its very fabric
molded perfection
layer upon layer
echoes sunlight
as it dances
in gentle breezes
within an array
of emerald and forest,
avocado and lime

day passes
thirst grows greater
each layer spreads
reaching for moisture
reaching, straining
yet moisture’s floated away
on sunbeams

weakened layers
begin to falter
and descend to earth’s floor
falling, rising,
dancing pirouettes
rising again
as if a gentle hand
carries them aloft
to float
just one more dance
upon the air

they sink, rest
upon sand and green,
as if confetti,
this yellow rose

Poetry is not an opinion expressed ...
It is a song that rises from a bleeding wound ...
or a smiling mouth.

Wonderful way to escape an Alaskan night....
A bit dry(the setting that is)but seemed to
be nice and warm....
Better go water the house plants,Peace

(sigh) Yes, all this you described and so much more make up a dream. Dreaming is my favorite part of day. May the ceraceous wax of the moon shine in our eyes, put us to sleep peacefully, and fill us with sweet visions. Excellent poem, my friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
