Transformation
Virginia Salter

soft gray of morning
moist, warm air
encompasses,
grips
holds summer
as autumn grits its teeth
comes in
coats each surface
in humidity
as two seasons
coalesce
and I
in humility
concede its power
await, in awe,
its promised beauty

hues of amber,
umber,
rose,
violet,
bejewel
treetops
fields
my heart
carry me forward,
in joy
of the gift,
the gift of time,
time of rest,
repose

What a wonderful way to look at the changing of seasons.  I don't know how this one made it to the second page untouched but it is going back to the top to be seen again.  Loved the imagery and also the change of mood this piece lends.

This is great!  I can see the colors in the trees and flowers and the land.  It is a comfort for us who see these changes, but so many never do.  The view is beautiful!!

What a romantic way to illustrate the changing season!

Thank you dsnyder.  I have to admit I think this is one of my favorites.  So happy you liked it, too.
