The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-01-22 08:10 PM

The end of that which never was
though many times I'd hoped and tried
too late now for true recompense
today my long gone father died.

I'm not requiring sympathy
there were few moments, mostly bad
yet in the recess of my heart
I can't deny a little sad.

(tears coming down my cheeks) Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that! Oh, perhaps your father and you did have some rough times, but deep down, you'll always love him. May his love forever be with you, for that is the way he wants you to feel, happy! Thank you for sharing, my friend!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Catalina,
This is beautiful. I know somewhere, somehow he is reading it, and he knows how you feel. I am so sorry.

A sadness for what never was and now never can be, perhaps, and maybe a sadness missing the man who lives in the few good memories. You have my sympathy, Sandra. Losing someone in death, even if you were not as close as you would have liked to have been, is never easy. HUGS

(((HUGS)))
Here's hoping the sadness doesn't get uncontrollable. Nice poem.

Sandra,
Losing someone from our life creates a hole, even if we didn't know them well.  But that empty space will find new love to fill it, leaving your memories intact.  Huggs to you, my dear friend..........

Follow your dreams...
Follow your heart...
Let them be your guides...
