The river flows rapidly,
Waves surging high,
Lightning flashes,
Thunder rages,
Nature on a high,
See her swallow up the silence,
So silent, but now loud,
She rumbles,
Skies darken massively,
Stealing all the blue,
Yet beauty is still felt,
Mountains standing tall,
Peace is still to come,
After the storms have passed,
Serenity will come,

To behold such beauty
As the storm dances,
across the skies,
Suddenly as quickly
As she came,
She leaves,
Flowers begin to bloom,
Birds sing,
Children run and play,
For once again nature,
Is at peace, as the river
flows calmly once again,
Around the bend,
On it's journey,
Into another day.

I read this poem in two ways.
One being you find beauty in the weather no matter what season it is and the other is your making some changes in your life.
Either way this is a very nice writing.

thank you Mike thought you would enjoy as we both conveyed our feelings with nature,
I was just talking about in general nature, I guess you could see it either way though thank you Mr. Magoo, maybe your right in the instance of change I've been sick lately I guess I'm feeling better so maybe this is the calm after the storm.

RB the imagery in this is excellent ...
your poetic mix of the elements of nature and the emotions worked perfectly
well done writing
( and I liked the beauty and forces of nature were called "she")
take care

Thank you so much Cerenity, nature is exquisite and so devine in so many ways can't help but write of it.
Charisma, thank you I appreciate that you enjoyed it, I do find that nature has a beauty that is hard to describe at times. I was trying to give her a human characteristic.
Janet Marie of course with the magnitude of a storm has to be a woman we can be vicious at times. hehe

Even Mother Nature has to stretch once in awhile.  The title alone was enough to draw me in and when I saw your name next to it I knew I was in for a treat and a treat it was.  Loved the images in this one dearly and the vision you hold leaves no doubt that you see where the beauty of nature truely lies.

Mark Thank you so much, I also enjoy reading your poetry, there is something about nature to calm the soul. Just the serene skies at times relaxes my mind.
