I  remember the sapphires in your eyes
when you saw me laying there
waiting for you to walk into the room
black lace in a candlelight affair
I invited you with a French kiss
yes, you were my sweet Pierre

The brilliant sparkle in your eyes
reflected blue topaz in mine
fragrance of long stem roses
and clarity of Chardonnay wine

Your necklace of sweet kisses
forever I will where
your silhouette like a cameo
engraved in depths of my heart
the sapphire in your eyes
like rare gems, a work of art

When you bid adieu
our love we had finally shared
my love you took with you
the band of my soul I had bared

I kissed softly, sweet moist lips
delicious as a Bartlett pear
alone in a romantic setting
like a diamond solitaire

You used an excellent theme to express the loss of a dynamic lover.  Well penned with great imagery, rhyme and flow~

Take care,

Victoria, you really know how to get to me these days. . . if you keep writing like this, I shall have to use gloves when I read your writing. . . so warm it is. . .

Excellent my friend. . .
