~ Upon The Shores Of Evermore ~

*By Melissa Honeybee*

Like gentle waters passing through a windmill
two hearts everflow into one,
soft hushs beckons time to stand still
upon the shores of evermore
~~~
Silhouettes sway in the glow of waking sun,
tears glisten upon skin, graced by Cupid's arrow
as two souls become one
upon the shores of evermore
~~~
We stand, hand in hand, before Heaven's gate
a sacred bond, unbreakable and rare,
whispers of "I love you" circle with fate
upon the shores of evermore
~~~
A portrait, sketched long ago with God's hand,
we kissed, as cherubs, wrapped in tender cloud,
now man and woman ~ strolling with destiny on golden sand
upon the shores of evermore
~~~
Sailing the azure ocean of love
our boats chance the silky tides of romance,
a heavenly treasure blessed from above
upon the shores of evermore
~~~
On the table of reverie, we dine,
inhaling, deep, each other's breath,
sipping from fortune's chalice, with tongue's caress, delectable like wine
upon the shores of evermore
~~~
Drawn close by magnets of divine force
we fall ever deeper in connection,
drifting on waves of rapture through nature's neverending course
upon the shores of evermore
~~~
On love's vast page, we are the ink of perfect words
of our soul's fantasies, now penned true,
ever as high as soaring love birds
upon the shores of evermore
~~~
At the touch of lips, earthly wings, have we,
wond'rous crashes of waves play a sonata upon it's stream of keys
for a love so pure, so free
upon the shores of evermore
~~~
Beloved soulmates, kindred spirits, embracing for life
sharing the passions sealed with golden rings,
together, as husband and wife
upon love's shores of everafter
Melissa~
So overwhelmingly lovely is this piece.
A real beauty, full of expectation and fulfillment.
So well written.
A heart-felt symphony of verse.
This is truely a magical piece of mastery you have penned and one day (yes it will happen) you will overwhelm your soul-mate with it's intensity and it's heart felt love.  Simply superb in all it's form and presentation.  In my library it goes!!
My goodness Melissa...this is stunning...you
have brought tears to my eyes with this
piece and it makes my heart have hope that
those things that are meant to be....will
be.  "Beautiful" does not even touch the
surface of this weave...it's clear that it
was woven from your heart and soul as it
intertwined with another....Thank you for
weaving what lies within~
Mel~
no words i say could do this piece
the justice it so rightfully deserves.
but i shall try my best. i read this
piece twice...and both times different
feelings hit me. this left me with a
feeling of peace and calmness, warm
fuzzy (the romantic that i am) and an
overall feeling that love is meant to be.
you have NO idea how much I needed to
be reminded of that at this time in my
life. I am very glad I read this, and I
also am glad to know you dear friend.
Take care of yourself. This was superbly
written and surely is going into my library.
It would be much too hard to pick a favorite line! Into the library! Since I can't think of anything to say other than I love this, I'll just tuck it away to read again tomorrow!
Hi, Melissa. I couldn't help noticing the title of this piece, as it is similar to a poem I wrote several months ago, "Sands of Evermore." Yours is oh so lovely. Thanks for it.
